Just some informations for those who don't know me.
I was born 1975 in Germany, a litte bit south of Frankfurt, where I also spent my childhood and went to school. From 1996 to 2001 I studied physics at the Darmstadt University of Technology graduating with a Master of Science. My thesis was about laser generated x-rays.
After that I did a PhD in the plasma physics group of GSI working on the characterisation of laser generated ion beams. I finished my thesis in 2004.
After that I went for to years to France, working in the laboratory LULI, which is located 15 km south of Paris. 2006 finally I went to the US to do a Post-doc in Albuquerque, NM.
